On May 26, 2020, the Administrative Committee of Lishui Economic‑Technological Development Zone held a project‑signing ceremony with CRRC Urban Transportation Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Founder Motor Co., Ltd. The three‑party cooperation agreement was signed for the establishment of Zhejiang Founder Intelligent Drive Application Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. in Lishui. Leaders attending the signing ceremony included Wu Xiaodong, Deputy Secretary of the Lishui Municipal Party Committee and Mayor; Liu Zhiwei, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Agglomeration Area (Development Zone); Li Shun, Deputy Director; Gu Yifeng, Party Secretary and Chairman of CRRC Urban Transportation Co., Ltd.; He Dejun, General Manager; Feng Rong, Chief Capital Operation Officer; and Zhang Min, General Manager of Zhejiang Founder Motor Co., Ltd.

Upon its establishment, the new company will form a research team consisting of more than 70 high‑level technical talents. It aims to build a national‑level research institute within five years, obtain a certain number of national authorized patents annually, and realize mass production of new products each year to achieve industrialization of R&D achievements. This initiative will enhance the R&D capability and core competitiveness of Zhejiang Founder Motor Co., Ltd., drive the development of upstream and downstream industries for automotive intelligent drive systems and micro‑motors within Lishui Economic‑Technological Development Zone, and boost the zone’s economic growth.
