ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015 were officially released on September 15 and 23, 2015 respectively, followed by the official release of IATF 16949:2016 on October 1, 2016. To meet the requirements of these system standards and with the support of the company’s senior management, Director Liu, head of the Quality Assurance Department, immediately set up a cross‑departmental document compilation team leveraging internal and external resources (customers and third‑party parties). He launched the system revision project for integrating three management systems mainly based on IATF 16949.

Good News: Establishment and Effective Implementation of the 5th‑edition Quality Management System

On January 19, 2017, chaired by General Manager Cai of the senior management team, the quality management system revision project was officially kicked off. The meeting announced the project launch and elaborated on project planning, phased tasks, time schedules and organizational resource requirements.

Project implementation was a tough exploratory process. The alignment between subjective understanding and objective reality shall be judged solely by project practice rather than practical utility. The revision on February 27, 2017 brought the most significant change, which completely reshaped the logic for document preparation. After receiving key guidance from General Manager Cai, the project lead convened an emergency discussion meeting to put arrangements into practice. Over six months, the team completed standard study, draft writing, review, revision and final polishing. Thanks to the hard‑working efforts of more than 40 team members and 43 meetings of various scales, the final documents were finalized before September 1. We would like to express our gratitude to everyone for their dedication.

Good News: Establishment and Effective Implementation of the 5th‑edition Quality Management System

In early September 2017, led by the Quality Assurance Department, document compilers conducted company‑wide one‑week training sessions on the newly‑released 5th‑edition quality management system documents after working hours. Leaders from each business unit attached great importance to the training and participated throughout the sessions. They offered numerous revision suggestions for process documents, which further improved the 5th‑edition procedural documents.

Good News: Establishment and Effective Implementation of the 5th‑edition Quality Management System

In mid‑September 2017, formal controlled distribution of revised documents was completed, together with the first internal audit and management review after revision, which greatly improved the practical compliance of system documents. The third‑party certification audit for the three integrated systems was carried out from September 25 to September 30, 2017. Audit results verified that the 5th‑edition quality management system of our company was well‑established and effectively implemented. Nevertheless, external recognition is not our ultimate goal. We shall adhere to the principle of continuous improvement and follow Cartesian methodology to scientifically and continuously implement and optimize our quality management system.
